Dr. John Reuter, DC
Founder & Chiropractor
Dr. John Reuter is a homegrown Midwesterner, born and raised in the Chicagoland area. From the age of 13, he knew he wanted to become a chiropractor after personally experiencing the life-changing benefits of chiropractic care.
As a child, Dr. John struggled with severe allergies and ADD/ADHD. He underwent six allergy shots three times a week and was prescribed Adderall to manage his symptoms. Everything changed when he began consistent chiropractic care. His allergies dramatically improved, his focus in school skyrocketed, and he no longer needed medication or allergy shots.
That transformation inspired Dr. John to dedicate his life to helping others discover the same healing power of chiropractic.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Pre-Chiropractic at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire before completing his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life University in Georgia.
Today, Dr. John is proud to call Chicago and Universal Wellness Source of Roscoe Village home. His passion is serving individuals and families of all ages, helping them live healthier, more vibrant lives through natural, corrective chiropractic care.

Bryan
SoftWave Technician
Bryan is a dedicated and energetic member of the Universal Wellness Roscoe Village team, where he helps patients reduce pain, improve movement, and restore their overall quality of life. As a Technician and SoftWave Therapy Specialist, he combines clinical precision with compassionate care—always focused on helping patients feel their best and stay active.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, is a certified personal trainer (ISSA), a licensed Limited Scope X-Ray Technologist for spine and extremity imaging in Illinois, and a certified operator of the OrthoGold SoftWave Therapy device. Since 2021, Bryan has been using his expertise to provide personalized care through SoftWave therapy, X-ray imaging, and patient education on healthy movement and habits.
Bryan’s passion for healthcare comes from his belief that we only get one body—and it deserves to be treated with care, strength, and respect. He’s motivated by the chance to help others heal, stay active, and rediscover happiness without pain. His approach centers on empathy, positivity, and putting himself in each patient’s shoes to ensure they feel heard, understood, and cared for.
Outside the clinic, Bryan lives an active lifestyle filled with sports, weight training, and skateboarding. He’s also a professional DJ, performing at nightclubs, weddings, and events across Chicago—a fun “alter ego” that always surprises patients and keeps life balanced. His coworkers describe him as charismatic, thorough, and thoughtful, always willing to help others while bringing an upbeat, positive energy to the team.
Bryan lives by the words of Ernest Hemingway: “There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.” This philosophy guides his work inside and outside the clinic—constantly striving to grow, improve, and help others do the same every day.
Litzy
Chiropractic Assistant
Litzy Gomez brings a thoughtful and compassionate touch to every patient interaction at Universal Wellness Roscoe Village. As a Chiropractic Assistant, she helps ensure that each visit is smooth, comfortable, and centered around high-quality care. Litzy takes pride in supporting both new and returning patients—making sure their information is accurate, their experience is positive, and their needs are always heard.
A recent graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago, Litzy earned her Bachelor of Science in Integrated Health Studies with a concentration in behavioral health. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Health Information Management, further expanding her knowledge to better serve patients and enhance the healthcare experience. Before joining Universal Wellness, Litzy worked as an EMT, building a strong foundation in health, medicine, and patient care.
Driven by a deep commitment to equity in healthcare, Litzy is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space for every individual—especially those from underrepresented communities. Her goal is to make each patient feel valued and supported, transforming traditional healthcare into an environment of comfort and trust.
Outside of work, Litzy enjoys expressing her creativity through journaling, crocheting, and listening to podcasts. She’s proud of her beautiful handwriting—a fun fact that always brings a smile to those who notice it! Her peers describe her as welcoming, approachable, and success-driven, always striving to bring her best to every day.
Guided by the belief that “Sometimes, the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take in between two deep breaths,” Litzy embodies the calm, caring, and mindful approach that defines Universal Wellness.
Jasmine
Office Manager
Jasmine Cervantes is the heart of organization and positivity at Universal Wellness Roscoe Village. As our Office Manager, she ensures that each day runs smoothly—from coordinating schedules to making sure every patient and team member feels supported. With over 15 years of supervisory and management experience, including eight years dedicated to Universal Wellness, Jasmine brings both leadership and heart to everything she does.
Jasmine’s journey with chiropractic care began as a patient. After experiencing life-changing results, she felt inspired to help others discover the same benefits. Her background in healthcare, paired with her passion for helping people transform their lives, makes her a natural fit for her role.
She believes great care starts the moment someone walks through the door. Jasmine strives to make everyone feel genuinely welcomed, comfortable, and part of the Universal Wellness family. Her honesty, humor, and quirky charm create an atmosphere where patients and staff alike feel right at home.
Outside the office, Jasmine enjoys going on walks, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with loved ones. Known among her peers as funny and opinionated, she values teamwork and believes in making decisions collaboratively—because at Universal Wellness, every success is shared.
Fun fact: Jasmine first joined Universal Wellness as a chiropractic patient—and now, eight years later, she’s helping lead the team that changed her life.
Peggy
Events Assistant
Peggy is the heartbeat behind Universal Wellness Roscoe Village’s community outreach. As our Event Assistant, she brings warmth, organization, and a welcoming smile to every event—whether she’s at a local festival, farmers market, a neighborhood soccer field, or greeting guests in the office. Peggy has a natural talent for hospitality and an eye for detail, ensuring each event runs seamlessly from set-up to final thank-you.
She speaks from experience, often sharing her own positive outcomes with chiropractic care and SoftWave therapy. That authenticity helps people feel comfortable asking questions, learning more, and taking the next step toward better health.
Peggy embodies our mission to make wellness approachable, engaging, and important for everyone. Her energy and enthusiasm help us create meaningful connections that last long after the event ends.
When she’s not helping bring our community events to life, Peggy enjoys spending time with her husband and family, exploring new local spots, and finding new ways to spread positivity wherever she goes.
